The Philadelphia Chapter of AFWA and The Foundation of AFWA award educational scholarships for students studying accounting or finance.

Undergraduate & Masters Scholarships

To support the cost of attending upper classman and graduate student's tuition as they achieve their goals toward an accounting or finance degree.  See application for requirements.  Application and accompanying documents need to be returned to [email protected].  The AFWA Philadelphia Chapter application submission deadline is March 15, 2020.

The Philadelphia Chapter candidate will also be eligle for an opportunity to be awarded an additional scholarship from The Foundation of AFWA.

AFWA Member Only Scholarships

The Foundation of AFWA promotes and advances education, career development and leadership in finance and accounting. They aim to ensure women will have the tools and resources to achieve every career success they desire.  

Scholarships available to members of AFWA:

  • Mary Feeney Bonawitz PhD Scholarship - to assist with the cost of research for a student seeking a PhD degree in accounting.                                                                                             
  • Certification Review Course Scholarship - to provide registration for certification review courses with AFWA Partners Wiley & Surgent                                                                                    
  • Certification Scholarship - to support the exam fees for those members who have recently passed all parts of the exam                                                                                                          
  • Disaster Relief Dues Reimbursement - to assist dedicated members who have experienced personal hardship due to national disasters in their hometown.                                                  
  • Dues Reimbursement for Unemployed Members - to assist dedicated members who are unemployed at the time of their membership renewal.
